Western Christianity or Islam

  • Ramadan is from March 22 until April 21, 2023.  The period lasts 29-30 days.
  • The 27th Day is the most sacred. This is April 18, 2023.  This is Qadr Night, and is the day that Islam believes the first verses of the Quran were revealed.
  • Western Christianity and Islam are more parallel than many care to admit.  Islam just uses different words and names for people, places and things.  Some of the stories differ slightly, some added, and some deleted, but very similar.

    • Some people use the word Car, Automobile, or Horseless Carriage – In Christian religions, there is only one God. The same is true of Islam.  Allah is simply the Islamic translation for the name God – as the name Jehovah is used in the Bible to refer to God, or Dio which is used in the Vatican.
    • Both religions state that God is great, and there is only one God.
    • Islam states that Mohammad is a Prophet of God, not the ONLY Prophet of God. They acknowledge Jesus as a Prophet, although not necessarily the Son of God.  Jesus is mentioned 97 times in the Quran.
    • Parallels: There are many parallels in the two religions.  The creation of Adam, the Tree of Life, Noah and the Flood, the Story of Abraham (Ibrahim), Joseph, Moses, David and Goliath, and much more.
